The Youth Apprenticeship program allows students to achieve academic competence in addition to becoming career and college ready by working in a specific industry. Students work toward the goal of completing a portfolio of industry competencies and basic employability skills. Upon successful completion of the experience, the student is awarded a certificate from a state or regional agency. In some program areas, post-secondary credit may be awarded through a technical college or university.
