Ag Skills Competition
The Ag Skills Competition through CVTC Education Center allows students to tour the college’s agriculture programs, interact with CVTC students in agriculture programs, and take a trip to the nearby Eau Claire Farm show.
Career Tours are held at CVTC for high school students to learn about CVTC as a college.
CVTC Career Fair
Career Fairs are held two times a year. In the fall and spring semesters.
CVTC Energy Open House
CVTC holds an Energy Open House so people can learn about CVTC’s program degree and short-term certificate options, hands-on energy-related activities, talk with program instructors, and attend a breakout sessions to learn about the application process, career exploration, paying for college, and more.
CVTC Fall and Spring Open Houses
CVTC holds spring and fall open houses for people of all ages to attend and become familiar with CVTC and finding a new career through the institution.
CVTC Manufacturing Show
The Manufacturing Show is an exhibit which includes hands-on demonstrations that show manufacturing jobs in action, and holds opportunities to learn about CVTC’s manufacturing programs and discuss enrollment options.
JA Business Challenge Competition
The Business Challenge Competition through Junior Achievement which uses JA’s Titan program, and online business educational program.
JA Career Fair
Occurring multiple times throughout the year, JA Career Fairs allow students to learn from local professionals about the world of work as well as about jobs that are available within the area.
JA in a Day
Junior Achievement and the Chamber organized employer tours for South Middle School in the fall of 2017.
Junior Police Academy
Come step into the shoes of an Eau Claire Police Officer. Try your hand at traffic stops, tasers, forensic evidence, K-9 unit, and even tour the Eau Claire Court Room!
Reverse Job Fair: Project SEARCH
The Reverse Job Fair is held for employers in the area to meet the skilled candidates who will be completing the Project SEARCH program.
Student and Business Engagement-Speed Networking, Panel Interviewing, and Business Engagement Dinner
These are semi-annual events lasting 2-3 hours each. Students get professional practice in preparation for entering the workforce through these opportunities.
